As part of the European Heritage Days, organized by the Municipality of Beyoğlu, a guided tour of the Orthodox churches in our district took place on Tuesday, September 30, accompanied by the local clergy.
Representing the historic Stavrodromi Community were the Very Reverend Archimandrite Fr. Gedeon Varytimos and the Reverend Sakellarios Nikodimos Saidam, who shared with the participants insights into the spiritual and historical tradition of the churches.
Those who joined this event had the opportunity to experience firsthand the religious and cultural heritage of Pera, through a specially designed route that included the most significant Greek Orthodox churches: the Holy Trinity Church of Pera, the Church of Panagia of Pera, and the Church of Saints Constantine and Helen of Pera.
This tour was a unique occasion to highlight and promote the centuries-long presence and contribution of the Orthodox community in Pera, strengthening the local society’s connection with its invaluable religious and cultural legacy.
Our Community extends its warm thanks to the Municipality of Beyoğlu for organizing and supporting this initiative.
