On Saturday, May 9, 2026, the Board of Trustees of the Grand Community of Stavrodromi hosted a luncheon of love in celebration of Easter for the parishioners of the Pera district. The luncheon took place in the courtyard of the Holy Church of the Holy Trinity.
Present at the gathering were the Ecclesiastical Head of the Grand Community of Stavrodromi, His Eminence Metropolitan Andreas of Saranta Ekklisies, the clergy of the Community, the President Mr. George Papaliaris, members of the Board of Trustees, parishioners, and friends of the Community.
Also invited were the residents of the Balıklı Greek Orthodox Nursing Home, who had the opportunity to enjoy the sunny day and spend time in a warm and family-like atmosphere.
The luncheon began with an address by His Eminence the Metropolitan, who, after welcoming all those present, thanked the Board of Trustees for this beautiful initiative, emphasizing that the days of Easter are days of love, offering, and solidarity.
At the same time, he congratulated the President of the Community, Mr. George Papaliaris, on being bestowed with the Offikion of Archon Laosynaktis of the Great Church of Christ by His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, in recognition of his valuable contribution to the Greek Orthodox Community.
The celebration continued with delicacies and live music performed by Kostas and Toumba, creating a particularly joyful and festive atmosphere. The presence of Mr. Vaporidis, a folk singer, and the songs he performed added a special touch to the gathering, delighting all attendees.
The members of the Board of Trustees also extended their wishes to all women on the occasion of Mother’s Day, celebrated on May 10. Mrs. Melissa Finfini Kyrits and Mrs. Evridiki Piggou, in honor of Mother’s Day, offered gifts to all the ladies, wishing them health, joy, and every blessing for themselves and their families.
This beautiful gathering concluded in a spirit of love and unity, offering everyone moments of fellowship and companionship, truly worthy of the Resurrection spirit of these holy days.
