With due ecclesiastical splendour and reverence, the great Feast of the Universal Exaltation of the Precious and Life-Giving Cross was celebrated today, Monday, 14 September, at the Grand Community of Stavrodromi.

The Divine Liturgy and the sacred rite of the Exaltation of the Precious Cross, celebrated according to the prescribed order of the Church, were presided over by His Eminence Metropolitan Andreas of Saranta Ekklisies, the supervising Hierarch of our Community, assisted by the clergy.

In the midst of the devout congregation, the most venerable Wood of the Cross of our Lord was raised as a sign of victory, hope and salvation, while the prayers of the Church resounded throughout the sacred space.

May the Precious Cross, the glory of the Church and the invincible trophy of the Christian faith, protect and preserve our City, our Greek Orthodox Community and the entire world, granting peace, strength and hope.
